BioI began this journal as a way of staying in touch with far-away friends. It's still mostly for that purpose, but I'm finding that I like writing things down. I've never kept a journal just for myself, and I don't know if I could--this is more like a conversation with a friend than a conversation with myself.
I am a planetary scientist studying Mars in graduate school, and this is pretty much all I do these days.
